All are welcome to join us at the next up-date meeting of the action group which takes place on Wednesday.

2nd April

Latton Village Hall

7.30pm

We were delighted to gain recent interest from local media, including an article in the Glos & Wilts Standard and coverage on BBC Radio Gloucestershire. Here, a debate ran as the lead article across the breakfast show and drew in some interesting commentary.

We officially launched A419NAG on Friday with a press call held at Cerney Wick. Over 40 hardy souls turned up for hear a short address from Paul Hodgkinson, chairman of the A419 Noise Action Group and Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, MP for the Cotswolds. Local and nation press were there to capture the moment and listen to the group’s concerns.

So far, we have had coverage from:

BBC

Wilts & Glos Standard

We were also invited onto BBC Radio Wiltshire – hear Janet Sharpe from the A419NAG by clicking this link A419v2

The focus now is to spread the word about A419NAG and encourage all those affected by the road noise to complete the survey on this website. We want to have a proper measure of local feeling with which to help take this campaign forward.

Don’t forget to complete the survey and tell family, friends and neighbours.

Join us tonight for the next meeting of A419NAG and hear the campaign’s latest developments.

Latton Village Hall, 7.30pm. All welcome.

8th February is launch day!

January 10, 2013

The A419NAG Campaign will be off and running following a press event to be held on 8th February. Media have been being invited to experience for themselves the road noise suffered by those living near the concrete section of the road.

In attendance to show their support will be MP for The Cotswolds, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, A419NAG Chair Paul Hodgkinson, Cotswold District Councillor for the Churn Valley, members of the A419NAG, local residents and businesses.

The venue will be near Latton/Cerney Wick – actual time/location to be confirm shortly and all concerned residents and businesses are welcome to attend and show their report.

The aim will be to highlight the strength of feeling from local people about this issue so the more attendees the better.

After the inital few meetings we are now starting to see a plan come together! This website is almost there, a press launch is pencilled-in for mid-February and various fact-finding tasks are in hand with group members.

Note for your diary – The next meeting is at Latton Village Hall on 21st January at 7.30 and all are welcome.
